When one hits 16 one can go to the DMV and ask for a drivers permit. Once the exams have been passed a 16 year old can drive with an adult. Now everybody grows up and soon hit 18. At the age of 18, we are considered to be adults by society and by the law as adults. Even though we are considered adults we are not seen as "responsible" adults and statistics have shown we are not. Statistics show we are most likely to get into car accidents. It is true if you look around there are a lot of teen drivers who text while they drive, eat while they drive, talk and drive, or tend to go over the speed limit more then older drivers. This has caused for insurance for teens to be much higher then for their parents. Depending on the car and record of driving insurance for teens can for $80 to $150. The prices do range and tend to vary depending on location. We can not persuade car insurance companies to lower their prices since they are always looking for a way to make money, but what we can do is lower the statistics for teen driving and their accidents. It is better if we all follow the road signs and try to drive a little safer.
