Formed in 1985 as one of the 16 other Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) of San Diego, the El Cajon Boulevard Business District (BID) is the largest of them all. The BID extends from Park Boulevard east to 54th Street and one block north and south of El Cajon Boulevard, one of San Diego’s major historical commercial corridors. The primary mission of the Boulevard BID is to improve economic conditions along the El Cajon Boulevard corridor and surrounding neighborhoods. These communities include parts of North Park, Normal Heights and City Heights.
